Abdul Qadir, Head of the Seed Industry Technology Study Program (Kaprodi) IPB University Vocational School explained that in realizing food security, Indonesia is faced with three challenges. The first challenge is that technology is needed to overcome the decline in land use and climate change, as well as production disruptions.
The second is the need for plant types and varieties that are resistant to climate change and land degradation. And third, it takes a change in the culture of eating from seed carbohydrates to non-seed carbohydrates. He conveyed this in the Series I Webinar held by the Vocational School of IPB University with the Director General of Food Crops, Ministry of Agriculture, (22/9).
