The Bioinformatics Working Group and Computational Intelligence and Optimization (CIO) Department, Computer Science Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) IPB University held “Bioinformatics Seminar Series 6” at the Computer Science Postgraduate Building, Dramaga Campus, Bogor (8/22). In this seminar it was revealed that the science of bioinformatics can be used to detect candidate proteins that, if their function is disrupted, can cause type 2 diabetes. In addition, bioinformatics can also be used to identify bodies, such as disaster victims.
