IPB University Professor Discusses the Importance of Institutional Formation for the Sago Agricultural Industry

Prof. Dr. Sumardjo, Professor of IPB University and Head of the Laboratory of the Communication and Counseling Section, Department of Communication Science and Community Development, Faculty of Human Ecology said that the establishment of mutually beneficial and sustainable agribusiness institutions is important. According to him, the partnership system in each chain always has problems, especially in the aspect of human resources (HR). Human resources are important as a smoothing factor for the sustainable development of the sago industry. One of these problems can be overcome by paying attention to local wisdom of indigenous peoples in developing sago management.
